Your legacy.
Their future.

A gift in your Will creates ripples of impact for generations to come.

Three generations: a smiling baby, older woman, and young woman sitting together on a couch.

Leaving a gift in your Will to the Well Foundation is one of the most powerful ways to give back to the Hospital that cares for our community - ensuring the people you love continue to receive the very best care through all of life's important moments.

Your gift in Will will help the Well Foundation deliver vital healthcare projects that sit beyond the reach of government funding - to transform the hospital experience for patients, the staff who care for them, and our wider community.

A gift in your Will isn't about what you leave - but what lives on.

What your legacy
can do.

Every gift in your Will (sometimes known as a bequest) large or small, helps drive meaningful advancements in your local hospital. Your gift can support patient and staff wellbeing, enable clinical innovation, fund state-of-the-art facilities, create spaces of comfort and dignity, and even launch pilot programmes that reach beyond the hospital walls.

It’s the people you love who will benefit from your generosity for years to come.

How to leave a gift in your Will:

Leaving a legacy is easier than you think — and the Well Foundation would be honoured to be considered in your Will.

We recommend talking to your loved ones first, before considering leaving a gift.

You can choose to leave:

  • A percentage of all of your estate

  • A percentage of all of the residue of your estate (after other gifts and clearance of debts are made)

  • A specified sum of money

  • A specific item such as property, shares or artwork

“I want our hospital to be fantastic and I know there is only so far government funding can reach. If I can help to bridge that gap - even in a small way, I’m all for it.”

Liz, local resident.

Liz and her family have spent a lot of time in Hospital with her son Matthew. For her, leaving a gift in her Will is a future-focused way to give back to a place that's given them so much.

“From surgeons to physios and nurses, everyone was highly skilled, caring and supportive. This gift honours that care – and my wonderful dad. It is my way of saying thank you.”

Glenn, an Aucklander now living in Melbourne.

Glenn left a bequest in memory of his dad, George, who had a long stay in North Shore Hospital after cancer surgery.
