Even 1% can have a lasting impact.
You don't need to be wealthy to leave a gift in your Will to Well Foundation.
After taking care of the people who matter most to you, you might consider leaving a small percentage of your estate to support your local hospitals.
Even 1% could help children, parents and grandparents in your community receive better care for years to come.
What could your gift help provide for the future?
Our local hospitals have been there for so many of us. They've cared for our children, helped our parents and grandparents, and supported friends and neighbours through some of life's toughest moments.
Every dollar you leave stays local, helping fund important projects and improvements at North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals that government funding doesn't always cover.
It could mean more comfortable spaces where families can stay together, welcoming treatment areas for children, lifesaving equipment for newborn babies, or new technology and specialist training to help doctors and nurses provide exceptional care.
It’s the people you love who will benefit from your generosity for years to come.
How to leave a gift in your Will:
Leaving a legacy is easier than you think — and the Well Foundation would be honoured to be considered in your Will.
We recommend talking to your loved ones first, before considering leaving a gift.
You can choose to leave:
A percentage of all of your estate
A percentage of all of the residue of your estate (after other gifts and clearance of debts are made)
A specified sum of money
A specific item such as property, shares or artwork
“I want our hospital to be fantastic and I know there is only so far government funding can reach. If I can help to bridge that gap - even in a small way, I’m all for it.”
Liz, local resident.
Liz and her family have spent a lot of time in Hospital with her son Matthew. For her, leaving a gift in her Will is a future-focused way to give back to a place that's given them so much.
“From surgeons to physios and nurses, everyone was highly skilled, caring and supportive. This gift honours that care – and my wonderful dad. It is my way of saying thank you.”
Glenn, an Aucklander now living in Melbourne.
Glenn left a bequest in memory of his dad, George, who had a long stay in North Shore Hospital after cancer surgery.
Leaving a gift in your Will to the Well Foundation is one of the most powerful ways to give back to the Hospitals that care for your community - ensuring the people you love continue to receive the very best care through all of life's important moments.
Your gift in Will will help Well Foundation deliver vital healthcare projects that sit beyond the reach of government funding - to transform the hospital experience for patients, the staff who care for them, and our wider community.
